The First State Bank American Legion Seniors baseball team began the 2021 season last night, hosting Sampson Construction (Lincoln High) at Novak Field, Tuesday night. First State earned the victory, 8-0 in five innings. Carter Sintek earned the win. First State scored three runs in the second and third innings and two in the fourth. Sampson Construction is 0-1 on the season and hosts Gretna, tonight. First State is 1-0 and plays in the Veteran’s Classic in Rapid City, South Dakota, tomorrow. First State opens pool play versus Mitchell, South Dakota and Gillette, Wyoming. The Classic runs through Sunday.
The First State Bank Junior Legion baseball team began the year with an 11-0 victory over Sampson Construction. The juniors play Lincoln Southwest, at Densmore Field, tonight, at 5pm.
The First State Bank Reserve Legion baseball team begins it’s season tonight, hosting the Millard Sox, at Novak Field. First pitch is 7pm.
