Yellow has never looked so good.
After being in the orange (high risk) for several weeks, the Three Rivers Community Risk Dial is in the yellow (moderate) for the three-county jurisdiction of Dodge, Saunders and Washington.
The risk dials were updated Wednesday.
The jurisdiction dipped from 2.05 to 1.95. Dodge and Washington also went down from 2.05 to 1.95. Saunders went from 2.35 to 2.15 and is in the low orange.
Officials said the drop is due to a decrease in weekly positivity and COVID-19 Omaha Metro Healthcare Coalition inpatients. There was no change this week in ventilator availability or community spread.
There were two new deaths related to COVID-19. Both are Dodge County men — one in his 70s and the other in his 50s. This brings the total death count to 126, including 79 in Dodge, 20 in Saunders and 27 in Washington.
Three Rivers also announced four new United Kingdom variants — two from Washington County and two from Dodge County.
