NGA Adds Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship to 2021 Slate

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Golf Association is adding a new championship in 2021, the Nebraska Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, in honor of the late Laura Saf.

The Inaugural Nebraska Women’s Mid-Amateur will take place September 18-19 at Fremont Golf Club. The championship is for women 25 and older, and will feature 36 holes of stroke play. In addition to the championship competition, the field will be flighted based on first round scores, and players will have an opportunity to win prizes within their flight.

Entries for the new championship will open on May 3 at 8 a.m. CDT. The entry fee is $150 and includes cart for both days. Saturday’s first round will be an afternoon start, while Sunday’s final round will be a morning start.
