Huskers, Jays Getting Volleyball Championship Bids Underway

OMAHA – Teams from across the country will converge on the CHI Health Convention Center in Omaha this week for the NCAA Volleyball tournament previously postponed from last fall due to COVID-19. Amongst those teams: Nebraska’s own Bluejays and Huskers.
Creighton is headed to the CHI Health Center, making its 10th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history (9th consecutive) when it meets Morehead State in a battle of conference champions. That match will start at 2:30pm today, and take place on Court 4 of Exhibit Hall A in the convention center of CHI Health Center Omaha. The winner of today’s match will advance to face the No. 8 national seed, Florida, on Thursday, at 2:30pm.
The Nebraska volleyball team will open their bid for the championship at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the CHI Health Center Omaha Convention Center. The Huskers will take on the winner of the Texas State/Utah Valley first round match-up. Thursday’s second round match will be broadcast on Big Dog Country 98.9 FM and 1340 AM with the Husker Sports Network.
