SILVIS, Ill. – Midland University continued their spring season with a two-day invitational at TPC Deere Run this weekend. The Warriors were one of 16 schools competing on Friday and Saturday in Silvis, Illinois. They placed 9th as a team with a pair of individual finishers in the top ten. The course will serve as the championship site for the NAIA Championship in May.
Jordan Greenwood, a senior from Kimball, Nebraska, placed 3rd with a 4-over par score of 146. Preston Carbaugh, a sophomore from Cambridge, Nebraska, was 5th with a 6-over par score of 148.
Rounding out the Midland lineup were Peyton Koch (30th, 157), Ryan Rodgers (53, 163), Tyler Brown (60, 165), Andrew Egan (71, 169), John Lapour (71, 169), and Ethan Blair (81, 172).
Midland’s team score of 636 was 29 strokes behind Faulkner University who took the team title.
The Warriors will be back on the course at Fremont Golf Club this coming Tuesday when they host seven area schools for the 2021 Midland Invitational.
