Three Rivers sees bump in risk dial

The Three Rivers Community Risk Dials have been updated for the three-county jurisdiction of Dodge, Washington and Saunders.

The jurisdiction saw a slight bump, moving from 2.14 last week to 2.29 this week. Dodge County remained unchanged at 2.14 while Saunders County increased from 2.14 to 2.29. Washington remained unchanged at 2.29.

Officials said the cause of the jurisdiction jump was due to an increase in community spread. There was no change in ventilator availability or ICU bed availability in the Omaha Metro Healthcare Region.

Terra Uhing, Three Rivers executive director, said that this week, officials opened up their vaccination tier to include individuals 50 and older and all critical infrastructure tiers in Phase 1B.

There were three deaths related to COVID-19 last week. A Dodge County woman in her 80s and two Saunders County men — one in his 70s and the other in his 80s. That brings the total pandemic death total to 116 in the Three Rivers health district.
Statewide, the total number of COVID-19 cases is 206,939.
