FREMONT – Mother Nature wiped out the schedule for local high school sporting events yesterday.
The Fremont High boys soccer game with Lincoln Pius X was postponed. Archbishop Bergan’s baseball game with Lincoln North Star was postponed and has been rescheduled for April 30th. The Midland baseball game at Bellevue was also postponed. Yesterday’s Blair vs. Omaha Concordia baseball game was postponed and has been rescheduled for April 5th.
The Omaha men’s golf team finished in a tie for 14th place at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate hosted by Missouri State on Tuesday. The Mavericks finished the 54-hole tournament with a team tally of 305 to post a total of 902. That tied them with Northern Iowa. SIUE won with a score of 858. Wichita State was second at 861, and Valparaiso was third at 869.
