High School Scores:
In girls high school soccer yesterday, at the Omaha Bryan Tournament, the Fremont girls defeated Lutheran High Northeast, 3-0.
In other girls high school soccer action, Omaha Mercy defeated Blair, 2-0.
In boys high school soccer last night, Lincoln High defeated Fremont, 7-0.
In high school baseball last night, Bennington defeated Blair, 4-3.
The Blair High track and field teams competed at the Concordia Invite, in Seward, yesterday. The Blair boys finished 13th with 12 points. Aurora won the meet with 87. In girls action, Blair won the meet with 102.75 points. York was second with 56.
Women’s Basketball Postseason
The Nebraska women’s basketball team & the Creighton Lady Bluejays each earned a bid to the 32-team Postseason WNIT, when selections for the field were announced on Monday, March 15.
The Huskers (12-12) will begin postseason play against UT Martin at the eight-team Memphis Regional in the WNIT on Friday, March 19 at 11 a.m. (CT) at My Town Movers Fieldhouse in Colliersville, Tenn. Creighton women’s basketball team starts play on Friday, March 19 against Bowling Green at 2:00 pm.
UNO Tennis
Omaha women’s tennis finished its Louisiana road trip with a win at Southeastern Louisiana. The Lions took to doubles point, but the Mavericks rallied for a 4-3 win. Lillian Tiemeyer clinched the match in the final singles finish. Omaha improves to 8-8 on the year.
