Delores M. Matteo, age, 91 of Fremont, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.  Deloris was born February 28, 1930 at Laurel, Nebraska to Henning and Mary (Vyhlidal) Mattson.
She grew up at Pierce, NE and after having polio at the age of 10 she still proudly walked the steps at Pierce High School and graduated in 1947.
Delores married Joseph R. Matteo in 1948 in Norfolk, NE.  After marriage they lived at Norfolk, NE, Clinton, Iowa, Chadron, NE and came to Fremont in 1962. She raised six children and also worked at Pendelton Woolen Mills in Fremont for 12 years.
Delores was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, FOE #200 Eagles Club and TOPS all in Fremont.
Survived by sons, Michael (Pat) Matteo of Boone, IA, Thomas (Mary) Matteo of Fremont and Mark Matteo (partner Scott Dean) of Des Moines, IA; daughters, Mary (Brad) Allen of Osceola, IA   and Annette (Royce) Connerley of Omaha; sister, Lorraine Walton of Pierce, NE; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Michele Marie; brothers, Allen, Marvin, Ervin and Leroy Mattson; and in-laws, Carmela and Angelo Matteo.
Funeral Mass 11 A.M., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Visitation will be 4 to 7PM on Wednesday and a Rosary will be at 7 PM all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church/Archbishop Bergan Schools, Dunklau Gardens for activities or to the FuEver Home in Fremont.
