Head coach Jake McThenia was encouraged by his team’s efforts but hopes to aim higher in the coming weeks, “We had some solid scores come from Saturday’s Skeet and Sporting events but we all could have picked up a few here and there. Sunday was windy and gave everyone a challenge. We stepped up there and had some more solid scores. I am still proud of this group and we look to get better for Nationals in two weeks.”
The Warriors will compete again this weekend, this time in the Fort Hays State Shoot in Hays, Kansas. The two-day event is set for March 6-7 and will mark the Warriors’ last shoot before the ACUI Nationals Championships March 22nd-28th in San Antonio, Texas.
