SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced the 2021 Cheer and Dance All-Conference Teams. Midland University had a total of 16 athletes earn recognition.
Hunter Jones and Morgan Jewell were both named to the Cheer All-Conference Team with Brianna Hines, Taylor Kvittem, Breanna Murdock, Nevaeh Patyk, Kailey Novak, Alissa Fitzgerald, and Silbestre Sanchez earning honorable mention.
Alisyn Bardsley, Skylar Brooks, Brooke Douglas, Taylor Jacobsen, Adrianna Krueger, and Julianne Lewis were each named to the Dance All-Conference Team. Alexa Mahnke earned an honorable mention.
To be selected to the All-Conference teams the student-athletes needed to perform a set of skills as outlined by the NAIA Cheer and Dance Coaches’ Handbook.  A minimum score on these skills (as judged) was required for selection to the teams.
Both of the teams earned bids to the NAIA Cheer and Dance National Championships to be held next week in Davenport, Iowa. Preliminary routines will be performed on Friday, March 12 with finals the following day.
