Fremont Swimmers Perform Well at State Finals

LINCOLN – Fremont’s swimmers made it to the Nebraska State Swim Meet finals on Saturday, with many coming top ten and one new school record set.
BOYS 200 Medley Relay

  • Landon Lamson, Connor Christ, Nathaniel McCellan, John Monson PLACE 6TH OVERALL and all recieved medals. It has been a very long time since a BOYS relay has placed in the top 8 for a relay, also high up there in the Team scores.

Girls 200 Freestyle

  • Karsen Jesse placed 8th place, and also received a medal being in the top 8. She was off her best time but still represented Fremont very well.

Girls 500 Freestyle

  • Karsen Jesse Places 14th overall in the 500 Freestyle, bumping up 2 places after being 16th after prelims. Scoring big points for the Girls team!

Girls 200 Free Relay

  • Madelyn Buck, Lucy Dillon, Elisabeth Meyer, and Karsen Jesse had a great swim placing 10th overall in a very competitive field.

Boys 200 Free Relay

  • Connor Christ, John Monson, Josh Iossi, and Nathaniel McClellan placed 11th overall, almost putting up their fastest time of the season.

Boys 100 Fly

  • Nathaniel McClellan raced hard in the Consolation Final with a time of 53.96, placing 13th overall.

Boys 100 Back

  • Nathaniel McClellan returns in the 100 backstroke Consolation Final, placed 13th overall. BREAKING A NEW SCHOOL RECORD. Held previously by Mack Prince, McClellan broke it by .30 of a second.

Boys 100 Breast

  • Connor Christ was the last swim on the boys side, placing 10th place in the Consolation Final, swimming a very solid 100 breaststroke to end his season.

Girls 400 Free Relay

  • Madelyn Buck, Lucy Dillon, Charlotte Vech, Karsen Jesse team up for their final swim of the season and place 13th overall.

 
“A very good season overall,” said Coach David Struble, adding, “The last 3 weeks with HAC and STATE were a huge success. The Fremont Team is still very young, a lot of these swimmers placing and scoring points are returning next year.”
