FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University Esports continued their spring schedules this past week within their two conferences. The Warriors are competing in Hearthstone, Overwatch, and Valorant in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). The Hearthstone team is also playing in the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE).
Hearthstone
Midland improved to 1-2 in Hearthstone play in the NACE. They defeated Wayland Baptist University this past week.
In NECC play, they fell to 0-2 after dropping a 1-3 game with Kings’ College.
This week they’ll take on Messiah College in NACE at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Dartmouth College in NECC play on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Valorant
The Warriors are still in search of their first victory in Valorant this spring after going 5-2 in the fall. Last week they dropped a 2-1 decision to Sacramento State University. They’ll look to rebound with a 5:00 p.m. match with Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday.
Overwatch
Midland dropped their first Overwatch game of the spring last week, 2-1 to the University of California-Santa Cruz. They are now 1-1 heading into a Thursday night battle with Boise State University. The two schools met in last fall’s NECC Championship where the Warriors won 3-0 to take the title.
