The Omaha volleyball team took down South Dakota in a five-set battle (19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 20-25, 15-12) on the road on Monday night in Vermillion, S.D. The win moves the Mavericks to 4-4 (3-3 Summit League) and snaps South Dakota’s 22-match Summit League regular-season win streak while the Coyotes fall to 4-4 (3-1 Summit League).
Down 41-35 with 1:33 remaining, Creighton women’s basketball closed the game on a 7-0 run to escape the nation’s capital with a 42-41 win on Monday, Feb. 15. The win pushed Creighton to 6-8 on the season and 5-5 in BIG EAST play, while Georgetown fell to 1-11 overall and 1-11 in conference action.
