Marjorie L. Kubr, age 93 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Hospice House in Omaha. She was born April 6, 1927 at Leshara, Nebraska to Henry and Margaret (Nelson) Ritthaler.
Marjorie grew up at rural Fremont and has been here her whole life. She graduated from Fremont Senior High School in 1943. She married Merton Harms on November 22, 1945 in Fremont. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1983. She married Joe W. Kubr on July 15, 1995 in Fremont.
Marjorie is a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, American Legion Auxiliary Post #265 at Colon, NE and Eastern Nebraska Genealogy Society.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Kubr of Fremont; sons, David Harms of Sun City, AZ and Larry (Bonnie) Harms of Castle Pines, CO; brother, Bud (Connie) Koyen of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Eugenia Petersen of Omaha; half- sisters, Sharon (Bob) Fowler and Debra (Ken) Meyer; 2 grandchildren, Julie (Michael) Buckman and Timothy Harms and 2 great-grandchildren, Madeline and Carter Buckman.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband Merton Harms; half-sister, Lois Ann Ritthaler, Barbara Farless and Marilyn Stalkup; half-brother, William Ritthaler; and stepmother, Kathryn Metcalf.
Funeral will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at First Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Ernesto Medina will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at church.
