SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Midland University Cheer competed in a neutral site dual against Grand View University on Wednesday evening in Sioux City. The Warriors were dominant in their performance, earning the victory with their highest score of the season thus far with a 90.75. The Vikings earned a score of 58.45 from the judges.
“Tonight was amazing,” said head coach Kayla Murray. “Our athletes went out on the floor focused, motivated, and killed it. This week has been a challenge as we had to make some last-minute changes on Monday due to one of our athletes not being able to compete this week. I am so proud that they were able to pull it together and hit their routine. We are excited to compete again on Saturday and hopefully do the same thing.”
Midland will be back in action Saturday as they travel to Sioux Center, Iowa for the Dordt Invitational. The invitational will be the Warriors’ last competition before the GPAC Championship/NAIA National Qualifier scheduled for Saturday, February 27 in Crete, Nebraska.
