SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Midland University Dance competed in a neutral site dual against Grand View University. The Warriors came away with a score of 87.10, besting the Vikings who received a score of 82.75 from the judges.
“The team went into the dual with the goal of maximizing specific parts of the score sheet, and did just that by receiving the highest overall score of the season,” said head coach Katie Speicher. “The dancers demonstrated one of their best performances yet with high marks in their overall Jazz score, Team Turn Sequence, and Performance Impression. With just a few days until our final regular-season competition at the Dordt Invitational, we still have work to do to continue to improve upon our score and perform a zero deduction routine.”
Midland will take the floor again on Saturday as they travel to Sioux Center, Iowa for the Dordt Invitational. The invitational will be the Warriors’ final competition before the GPAC Championship/NAIA National Qualifier on Saturday, February 27.
