FREMONT – Here’s a look at local sports today, with Rich Ray:

Basketball

Midland University’s women’s basketball team dominated Doane University from start to finish with a final score of 91-55 Wednesday night. Erin Prusa finished the night with a new career-high of 20 points, shooting a perfect 9-of-9 from the floor and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. She led a Midland bench that scored 46 points. The Warrior men took the court Wednesday night for their last home game of the season, facing Doane University inside Wikert Event Center. The Warriors’ strong three-point shooting led them to a narrow victory over the Tigers, 75-71. Emanuel Bryson stepped up for Midland in the second period. He did a little bit of everything as he scored eight points, pulled down four rebounds, and dished out two assists. He finished the game with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 dimes. The Nebraska men’s basketball team fell to No. 21 Wisconsin, 61-48 Wednesday evening at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The Creighton women’s basketball team dropped a 60-48 decision to Providence in the annual Pink Game on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Bowling

The Wayne Blue Devils won the inaugural NSAA State Girls Bowling Championship, yesterday, at Sun Valley Lanes, in Lincoln. Wayne defeated Millard North, 3-0, in the championship.

Cheer & Dance

The Midland Warrior Cheer and Dance teams competed against Grand View, in Sioux City, Iowa, yesterday. Both teams claimed wins. The Cheer team won 91-58 and the Dance team claimed an 87-83 victory.
