Wahoo Police Arrest Forgery Suspect After Vehicle Pursuit

WAHOO, NE – On January 18, 2021, at 11:47 pm, an officer with the Wahoo Police Department observed a vehicle matching the description of a suspect vehicle from several forgeries in the Wahoo area over the past week.
The officer attempted to stop the vehicle after the license plate on the Dodge Ram pickup truck was fictitious. The vehicle fled the scene, and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit ended near Ashland, NE where the suspect was taken into custody. Officers located evidence in the vehicle and a silver revolver. The driver was identified as Lloyd R Torske, a 35-year-old, white male, with an Iowa address.
The vehicle involved in the pursuit had previously been stolen from Pottawattamie County, IA. Torske was booked in the Saunders County Correctional Center for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon by a Felon, Theft by Receiving over $5,000, Felony Flight to Avoid Arrest, and Forgery. This is an ongoing investigation.
The Wahoo Police Department was assisted by the Saunders County Sheriffs’ Office, Yutan Police Department, Ashland Police Department, and the Nebraska State Patrol.
