Betty J. Hoge, age 88, of Scribner
Died Sunday November 15, 2020 at Parkview Home in Dodge.
 
Betty was born March 16, 1932 in Bloomfield, Nebraska to Jens and Alma Jensen.  She was raised in Bloomfield and graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1950.  After high school Betty moved to Fremont and worked at Hormel Foods where she met her future husband Leroy Hoge.  The couple were married on November 21, 1954 in Bloomfield.  They lived and farmed around Scribner all of their lives.  Betty also worked at Superb Meats (now Omaha Steaks) and at the Scribner Good Samaritan Center, retiring after 23 years.
 
Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church until it closed and now is a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Scribner.  She loved to crochet, do needle work and quilt.  Her favorite things were to baby sit the grandchildren and attend their activities.  She just enjoyed people and loved to make cookies.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Leroy in 1999.
 
The funeral will be 10am, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Scribner.  Masks are required.  Burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery west of Scribner.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-7pm at Ludvigsen’s Scribner Funeral Chapel, mask are required.  Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Cemetery Association or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
