Damage to Vehicle Reported after Maple Syrup Poured in Gas Tank

FREMONT – Fremont Police received a damage to property complaint, a theft report, and cited a Fremont man for criminal mischief Wednesday, October 4.
Early Wednesday morning at roughly 6:45 am, a theft was reported in the 2400 block of north Yager Road. Reported stolen were various tools from a truck that was parked overnight in a hotel parking lot. The estimated loss is $2,000.00.  It is believed that the truck was parked unlocked.
At approximately 7 pm on Wednesday, FPD received a report of a damaged 2019 Jeep Wrangler in the 800 block of east 10th Street.  It was reported the vehicle was parked and unoccupied in a parking lot and someone poured maple syrup into the gas tank and scratched the paint along the passenger side of the vehicle. The estimated damage is $500.

FPD also cited a Fremont man at approximately 2:30 pm, Wednesday. Dallas A. Cassell, 21, of Fremont was cited on suspicion of Criminal Mischief after he allegedly kicked an acquaintance’s rear passenger door and dented it during an argument. The estimated damage is $500.00.
