Football
In high school football last night, the Archbishop Bergan Knights defeated the Ponca Indians at Heedum Field, 42-16. Koa McIntyre ran for two touchdowns and threw for three more scores in the victory. Bergan is 9-0 on the year and will host a C2 1st round playoff game next Friday. Ponca ends the year, 1-8.
In other match ups, Bloomfield defeated Mead, 26 – 0 and Howells-Dodge won over Guardian Angels Central Catholic, 42 – 14.
Volleyball
In the HAC Volleyball Tournament last night, Lincoln Pius X defeated Fremont, 25-10, 25-20, 25-15 and Kearney defeated Fremont, 25-19, 25-18, 25-17.
Blair also won over Omaha Christian Academy, 3-1
Women’s Basketball
Midland- 78, K. Wesleyan- 59; Katy Gathje led five Warriors in double figures with 16 points.
