City New This Week with Bob Flittie & Brian Newton – October 5th

FREMONT  – This week’s city news update with Fremont’s City Administrator, Brian Newton, and KHUB’s Bob Flittie covered a wide range of topics, from sports practice fields to the benefits of public power.
The Fremont Park & Rec Board met Monday evening. On the agenda was a request from Archbishop Bergan Schools to secure a 5-year agreement with the City for the use of Johnson Park for their sports teams practices. Bob Flittie and City administrator Brian newton talked about the request during Monday’s radio interview:

With the closing of the Dakota County Treasurers Office in Dakota City for “deep cleaning,” Bob Flittie asked Brian Newton, City administrator, if Fremont has had to “deep clean” any City facilities:

 
Public awareness campaigns continue regarding the proposed Joint Law Enforcement Center. Brian Newton outlined the next three opportunities to “Talk Shop With A Cop” and where they will be held:
