Multiple Vehicle Related Incidents Reported Thursday

FREMONT –  The Fremont Police Department took multiple reports of vehicle incidents on Thursday, including vehicle theft and a hit and run accident.
At approximately 7:30 am, a hit and run, two-vehicle property damage collision was reported in the 100 block of north Howard Street.
A driver of a green Ford F150 pickup reported that he was traveling west on 1st Street when a dark-colored car, traveling north on Howard Street, collided with his vehicle. The driver of the dark-colored car then fled the scene. Fremont PD does not have a damage estimate for the victim’s pickup at this time.

The next report was received at approximately 7:50 am, of a vehicle that was reported stolen from a residential parking lot in the 2600 block of north Nye Avenue.

The theft is believed to have occurred overnight. The vehicle is described as a black 2015 Chrysler 200 bearing Nebraska plate #5-C6813. The value of the car is estimated at $12,000.00.

Early morning hours on Friday, October 2, 2020, at approximately 6:44 am, a theft from vehicle complaint was made at a residence in the 800 block of north Michael Street.

The victim reported that her vehicle was parked on the street in front of her residence when someone entered the vehicle and stole property including a wallet and cash, believing it to have occurred sometime overnight. The estimated loss is $500.00.
