NEBRASKA – Making sure you’re registered to vote and tracking your ballot can be a daunting process, but it doesn’t have to be!
Here’s all the information and deadlines you need to know to get yourself ballot ready for the November election:

Getting Vote Ready

According to USA.gov,
You Should Check Your Registration Information

      • Each state has different ways to keep voter registration lists up-to-date. Most purge, or delete, the names of inactive voters. If you go to vote and find your registration has been purged, you may have to cast a provisional ballot.

Checking ahead of time to be sure you are still registered to vote and making any needed changes ensures:

      • Your name, address, and party affiliation are up-to-date
      • Your state didn’t purge your registration from its list of eligible voters. If it did, you have time to re-register to vote.
      • You’re able to vote
      • You’re voting at the correct polling place

Do You Need to Re-Register Or Change Your Registration to Vote?

  • Yes, if:
  • No, if:
      • Your name and address have not changed and you’re an active voter.
  • Maybe, if:
      • You move to a different state very close to the date of a presidential primary or general election. Check with your old state. You may be able to vote by mail through your old state for that election. After that, you’ll need to register with and begin voting in your new state.

Getting registered to vote is the first step, but what comes next? We’ve got all the resources you need to get ready to vote and make sure your voice is heard.
