FREMONT- Dostal Construction Company has been working hard on the new splash pad at John C. Fremont Park.
The plumbing is now in place and the concrete for the pad has been poured.
Dostal was awarded the $85,300 contract in February and was also awarded an additional $16,124 contract in April for a LED lighting package. Nearly all of the funds for the LED lighting was privately donated to the City.
City Administrator, Brian Newton, said, “It is doubtful the pad will be able to be open this year, but it does all depend upon the weather.”
