FREMONT – In connection with the first-ever trip for the Fremont Moo to the Expedition League Championship Series, the Moo have planned several events to help make Fremont’s pursuit of a championship even more exciting for fans.
Game 1-Fremont at Badlands—7:35 pm CT first pitch
While the Moo take their first step toward a championship in Dickinson, N.Dak., the Moo will also host a free watch party for game one at Moller Field in Fremont. Gates open at 7 pm ahead of the 7:35 pm first pitch. No food will be sold, so fans are encouraged to bring their own snacks. However, drinks will be sold at Moller Field. Tables at the Coors Light Home Plate Club will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Game 2-Badlands at Fremont—7:05 pm CT first pitch
For the first-ever Expedition League Championship Series game at historic Moller Field (750 S. Broad Street, Fremont, Neb.), the Moo have planned several enhancements and promotions to make gameday even more special.
Early-arriving fans will enjoy happy hour deals at the MooFood Concession Stands, starting from when the gates open at 6:05 until the first pitch. Fans will receive a one-dollar discount off all drinks and burgers, if they purchase before first pitch. Also, the MooFood Concession Stand will have a different concessions deal each inning, like $2.50 16 oz. Coors Lights, two for one popcorn, plus hot dogs discounted for an inning, ladies night drink specials and $3 Coors Light and $2 Coca-Cola products.
Moo fans can win signed bats, balls, jerseys and other great prizes through a raffle to raise funds for the Fremont Health Foundation throughout the game in a repeat of the 9 Innings of Winning promotion from the final home regular season game.
Also during the game, the Moo will recognize individuals from the Fremont community who have gone above and beyond for Fremont.
Game 3-Badlands at Fremont (if necessary)—5:05 pm CT first pitch
If necessary, this game will determine the Expedition League Champion, but only if Fremont and Badlands split the first two games.
Tickets for games two and three are on sale now at FremontMoo.com. They will also be on sale at the gate.
All three games will be broadcast on FremontMoo.com and on Big Dog 98.9 FM and 1340 AM in Fremont, beginning with pregame coverage 10 minutes before the scheduled first pitch. Fremont defeated the Big Sticks in four of six games between the two teams this season, all at Badlands.
The Big Sticks’ game two visit to Moller Field will be their first visit to Fremont after the Moo played Badlands in Dickinson, N.Dak., in all four games last year, all six regular season games this year and the first game of the Expedition League Championship Series. The Big Sticks are the defending Expedition League champions, beating Western Nebraska two games to one in last year’s championship series.
