GRETNA – The First State Bank American Legion Seniors baseball team scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning and went on to defeat Gretna 5-4, last night at Gretna High School in game two of the Fremont/Gretna Series.
Brenton Pitt picked up the win in relief, working 1.2 innings. Carter Sintek was 2-for-4 and Camden McKenzie was 2-or-3. First State is 10-9 on the season while Gretna is 14-12.
First State leads the series two games to none and will go for the sweep tomorrow night at 6:30 at Nick Novak Field, in the Schilke Complex, in Fremont. The game will be broadcast on Big Dog Country 98.9 FM and 1340 AM.
