Fremont Bank of the West Branch Temporarily Closed due to COVID-19 Exposure

FREMONT – The Fremont branch of Bank of the West has been temporarily closed after a COVID-19 exposure.
A reliable source, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed to Walnut Radio on Wednesday afternoon that the closure was due to a close-contact, confirmed positive, COVID-19 exposure. The bank was closed on Tuesday, July 21st, and remains closed today. When called, the Fremont branch’s phones redirected to the Bank of the West branch at Omaha’s Eagle Run, but customer service could not comment on the Fremont branch’s status.
We contacted the bank for comment, and received this response:

“For the safety and well-being of our customers and team members, Bank of the West is temporarily adjusting many of our branch operations during the pandemic. The situation is changing day by day, so we are asking our customers to please visit our Branch Locator at https://www.bankofthewest.com/HeretoHelp or call their local branch to confirm hours and availability before coming to a branch.
We strongly encourage customers to bank remotely, whenever possible, during this time. You can use Online and Mobile Banking for many of your needs. Log in to Online Banking, or use our Mobile app to pay bills, deposit a check by simply taking a picture, or send money to friends and family.”
– Ryan Bailey, EVP – Head of Retail Banking, Bank of the West

Locally, Bank of the West customers can receive banking services by calling (402) 918-2380, or by visiting any of the Bank of the West branch in Omaha.
