Three Vehicle Accident Reported at 16th and Lincoln Intersection

FREMONT- On Tuesday, July 14, a three-vehicle, personal-injury accident was reported at the intersection of 16th and Lincoln Streets.
At approximately 11:45 am, a 2002 Ford Mustang was being driven north on Lincoln Avenue approaching the 16th Street intersection. The driver of the Mustang failed to stop for a stop sign and entered the intersection, striking a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup being driven east on 16th Street that had already entered the intersection after stopping at a posted stop sign.
After the collision with the Dodge Ram pickup, the Mustang then struck a 2015 Jeep Wrangler that had been driving west on 16th Street and was stopped for a stop sign at the intersection.
The driver of the Mustang was taken to Fremont Methodist Health hospital after complaining of pain following the accident. Both drivers in the other vehicles were not injured.
Fremont Police said no citations were issued at the time. The Mustang is considered a total loss. The Dodge Ram sustained damage estimated at $5,000 and the Jeep Wrangler sustained damage estimated at $4,000.00.
