FREMONT – As the sports world negotiates reopenings, shortened seasons, and a new normal for 2020, a familiar voice will also return to the airwaves.
Sports Saturday returns to Big Dog 98.9/1340 this weekend, and Saturdays going forward, from 8-9am. Rich Ray will give you the all the latest from the world of local sports, live from the Fremont Hy-Vee Kitchen Cafeteria.
This week, Rich will chat with Jeff Hayden, the Head Coach of the First State Bank American Legion Seniors Baseball Team. Legion baseball games begin next week, but the season will look very different – limited spectators and shortened game schedules are expected. Rich will also talk with Scott Anderson, the Activities Director at Fremont High School, about the new NSAA gym and athlete training guidelines in place for the summer.
