FREMONT – As we head into the weekend, here’s a look at local scores from Thursday night and what’s coming up in local sports:
Last night in high school softball, Fremont defeated South Sioux City, at Chaplain Field, 15-4, in four innings. Hadeley Dowty earned the win, giving up five hits. Fremont is 13-12 and plays at the Lincoln Southeast Invite, tomorrow.
In high school boys tennis, Omaha Westside defeated Fremont, 8-1.
The Bergan girls golf team finished tenth at the Wayne Invite, yesterday, shooting a 468. Battle Creek won the meet at 393. Jocelyn Kumm 105, Tillie Fernau 116, Olivia Fedde 119, Olivia Prauner 128. Abby Brodersen of Boone Central was the meet medalist at 79.
The Bergan XCC teams competed at Ft. Calhoun, with the boys team score of 152 putting them in 8th place. Notable times from the girls and boys teams included:
