Newman Grove man faces several charges

A Newman Grove man is facing several charges following his arrest Tuesday morning.

A Dodge County deputy conducted a traffic stop at about 10:02 a.m. Tuesday near the area of U.S. Highway 275 and County Road 17.

The driver of the vehicle, Roger Weichman, 55, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine 10–27 grams, possession with intent to deliver, possession of fentanyl, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, habitual criminal and driving under suspension. 

An arrest report said Weichman, who is a convicted felon, was found with $1,917, a fixed blade knife with a blade length of 9 inches as well as a Remington 870 20 gauge shotgun.
