Marguerite L. Church, 86, of Fremont passed away Monday, June 30, 2025 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.
Marguerite was born on January 7, 1939 to Clinton and Christie (Bucher) Bauer in North Bend. She graduated from North Bend High School, class of 1956. On April 20, 1958, she married Robert “Bob” Church in North Bend. The couple moved to Pender for a short time, then moved to Fremont. Marguerite worked in the Dodge County Treasurer’s office for nearly 40 years serving as Deputy Treasurer and Treasurer. She retired in 2006.
Over the years Marguerite loved playing cards with friends and volunteered at the hospital after retirement. She was a member of Altrusa.
She was preceded by her parents; husband, Bob; brother, Dave Bauer; and grandson, Brad Lueck.
She is survived by daughters, Christie (Timothy) Lueck, Kelly Church, and Kerrie Church (Ken Blick); sons, Dr. Kevin M. (Kathy) Church and Keith (Penny) Church; grandchildren, Nick and Patricia Lueck, Dakota and Dillon Church; and great-grandchildren, Kenadie and Degan.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Memorial visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Moser’s.
