Fremont police investigated a hit-and-run property damage accident at about 1:17 Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Cuming Street and Clarmar Avenue.
During the investigation, officers had contact with Chase T. Backman, 38, of Fremont who was arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, DUI drugs, breathe/inhale certain compounds, obstructing a peace officer, operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, resisting arrest, willful reckless driving and no proof of vehicle insurance.
