The Centennial Conference Track and Field meet was held in Columbus on Saturday. This 10 team meet is competitive every year. For the Bergan Girls, Layci Kucera placed 9th in the Girls Discus , throwing 100 feet even. Avery Gossett placed 14th in the Girls Long Jump, 5th in the Girls Triple Jump, 32’3″, and 12th in the Girls 100 meter hurdles. Bergan Knight Elizabeth Morales finished 11th in the 200 meter dash, 28.95 seconds, and 9th in the 400, 1:07.89. Sophie O’Neil took 8th place in the Girls 3200 meter run, 13.19.81.
Senior Kaitlyn Mlnarik was the Gold Medal winner in the Girls 80o, with a time of 2:24.70. Kaitlyn finished in 2nd in the Girls 1600 , at 5:34.61.
For the Bergan boys, Dawson Pruss won the Pole Vault, going 11-6. Dawson also placed 6th in the Boys High Jump at 5-10.
In the Sprints on Saturday, Bergan Senior Trevor Brainard finished in 7th place in the 100, in 11.42 seconds. Brainard also finished 10th in the 200, 23.54. Trevor also placed 9th in the boys long jump, 19-4.50. Damian Flores placed 8th in the boys 3200 meter run, 12:57.32.
