First Lutheran is hosting a “Wonder of Christmas Nativity Event” from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. It is the second consecutive year that the church has hosted the event.

First Lutheran Church is hosting a “Wonder of Christmas Nativity Event” from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
The church, 3200 E. Military Ave., is inviting the public to come see the animals of the nativity and interact with those who were around the manger. Complimentary hot cocoa will be served. There will be a craft area for kids to make star crafts and a photo area to snap some pictures.
“Last year, we held a similar event on a beautiful winter day. It’s a great way for families, friends and neighbors to come together to celebrate the Christmas season,” Heidi Richmond said. “With the addition of the meal this year, we hope to bring even more people together with the bonus of giving back to the community.”
There will also be an option to worship, reflect and pray at the manger in the worship center beginning at 6 p.m.
