RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Ouachita Baptist University quarterback Riley Harms has been selected as the Great American Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his near perfect performance in his team’s 63-24 Homecoming win over Southwestern Oklahoma State this past Saturday.

Harms finished the game 12-for-13 passing with 197 yards and two touchdowns. His only incompletion was when Tucker Swoboda caught a pass in the air and was pushed out of bounds near the Ouachita sideline.

The Fremont, Nebraska native also had a 72-yard rushing touchdown late in the second quarter, which was the second 70-yard touchdown run of the game. Teammate Kendel Givens broke through for a 77-yard score earlier in the game.

Overall this season, Harms is 49-for-70 in passing with 901 yards and 11 touchdowns with only two interceptions thrown. Due to Ouachita leading the nation in rushing, Harms does not meet the NCAA minimum of 15 pass attempts per game to be ranked individually in passing categories. His 224.25 passer rating would be the best in the nation by more than 20 points.

Harms has been instrumental in helping Ouachita lead the nation in pass efficiency as a team with a 217.76 rating. The Tigers have completed 71 percent of their passes this season (60-for-85).

Harms and the 6-0 Tigers are back in action this Saturday, October 15 at home against Arkansas-Monticello. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Cliff Harris Stadium.
