Recap for June 26th game against the Spearfish Sasquatch 9-2

Fremont, NE- The Moo lose their 13th game of the season 9-2 to the Spearfish Sasquatch in the final game of the 1st half of the 2022 Independence League season. Fremont now moves to 16-13 on the season a game and a half back of 1st place in 3rd while Spearfish moves to 11-17 six games back of 1st in 3rd place.
The Sasquatch would get the scoring started in the 2nd with four runs started by an RBI double then a wild pitch and sac-fly in the same at-bat scored two then another RBI double to make it 4-0. Spearfish would score two more in the 3rd on a solo HR and an error on the Moo would score another later in the inning. Two more in the 4th and one in the 8th made it 9-0 before the Moo would finally get their two runs of the games on a single by Hayden Lewis that scored Zech Samayoa in the 7th. It was a Bentley Boekhout sac-fly in the 8th that scored Evan Rowe to get the final score of 9-2.
Evan Stade was credited with the win for the Sasquatch going seven innings allowing one run on seven hits while Robbie Whelan was charged with the loss for the Moo going four innings allowing eight runs on seven hits striking out 6 in the process. The Moo will play the Sasquatch in Game 2 tomorrow night at 7:05 for League of their Own Movie Tribute Night so anyone that is wearing their softball jersey will get in free to the game.
