Fremont Swimmers win dual at home vs. LNE

It was SENIOR NIGHT for this home dual against Lincoln Northeast Rockets! Head Coach David Struble said, “We had several good swims, and TWO victories on the girls and boys teams. Divers are scoring higher and higher each meet as well! The boys’ meet came down to the last relay to win the entire meet, it was a close one!”

Girls

Kicking off the swim meet were three of our Senior girls Grace Blick, Lucy Dillon, Karsen Jesse, and sophomore Lizzie Meyer winning the medley relay by 5 seconds.
The 200 Freestlye Senior Lucy Dillon placed first by over 15 seconds, teammate Hannah Havekost placed 2nd!
The 200 IM had a strong showing from our underclassmen, Charlotte Vech placed 1st with a season best 2:25.58, Lizzie Meyer placing 2nd, and Jane Busboom placing 3rd, big points!
The 50 freestyle Sophmore Madelyn Buck placed 1st with a season best time of 26.31, Kiera Spilinek placing 4th, Aleyah Hansen placing 5th.
The Girls 100 Fly Freshman Ryeligh Schroeter placed 1st with a season best 103.35.
The 500 freestyle Freshman Aleyah Hansen placed 3rd, Hannah Havekost placed 4th.
The 200 Freestyle Relay saw Seniors again Karsen Jesse, Lucy Dillon, Grace Blick, and Junior Kiera Spilinek placing 1st by 3 seconds.
The girls 100 Backstroke Freshman Ryleigh Schroeter placed 1st, Elisabeth Meyer placing 2nd and Kiera Spilinek placing 4th.
Girls 100 Breaststroke Senior Grace Blick won with 1st place time of 1:16.22.
The girls 400 Freestyle Relay the B FHS girls won the race with a time of 4:04.17, the team of Madelyn Buck, Jane Busboom, Aleyah Hansen, and Charlotte Vech.
DIVING Senior Hailey Newill placed FIRST with a best score of 125.50 to contribute big points to the overall score.

BOYS

The team of Landon Lamson, John Monson, Connor Christ, and Gabe Christ placed 1st by over 10 seconds. B relay finshed 3rd.
The Boys 200 Freestyle Sophmore Landon Lamson placed 1st by 6 seconds, Senior Nathan Fuchs placed 3rd overall.
The 50 Freestyle Junior Cade Arnett placed 2nd overall with a 24.71, Micah moore placing 4th, Dathan Hansen placing 6th.
The boys 100 fly Connor Christ placed 1st with a time of 1:00.24, Brother Gabe Christ placed 3rd.
The Boys 100 Free Junior John Monson had a demanding win with a 50.44, Cade Arnett placed 2nd, Dathan Hansen placed 4th.
The 500 Freestyle freshman Micah Moore placed 2nd with a season best time of 5:39.59.
The 200 Freestyle relay placed 2nd with the team of Nathan Fuchs, Micah Moore, Keegan Sullivan, and Braeden Willnerd.
Boys 100 Backstroke John Monson returns for a season best time of 56.70, Connor christ placed 3rd and Keegan sullivan was 5th.
The 100 Breaststroke Landon Lamson and LNE swimmer TIED for first place, Gabe Christ and Braeden Willnerd were 3rd and 4th.
The 400 Freestlye Relay came down to whoever won the relay between us and LNE, will win the meet. Our Tigers handled the pressure just fine and secured the win for the meet, team of Connor Christ, Cade Arnett, Landon Lamson, and John Monson.
DIVING – Senior Luke Follett placed 2nd with a new personal best score of 117.60. Without these diving points, the boys would have lost the meet. Diving has been a very important part of the team this second half of the season!
