Tony Kubr of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska passed away peacefully January 19, 2022, at Nye Legacy in Fremont, Nebraska. Tony was born in Plasi, NE to Joseph and Lydia (Wesely) Kubr. He attended District 91 in rural Saunders County through the eighth grade. He was a life-long farmer in Saunders County first with his dad and then went out on his own but continuing to farm his dad’s ground also. Tony served on multiple community boards including the Farmers Coop Board, District 91 School Board, Cedar Bluffs Rural Fire District as well as St. Matthews Building Committee and various church committees.
 
Tony was a talented mechanic and served the community as Kubr Repair. He used his woodworking skills to remodel their home on the farm west of Cedar Bluffs. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, especially his kids and grandkids. Even at the age of 87 he mowed the local cemetery and at 88 he combined a neighbors corn. Tony enjoyed all of his annual fishing trips especially going up into Canada.
 
Tony married Ioma Sukstorf on August 3, 1950 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church of Cedar Bluffs. They started their married life in Cedar Bluffs before moving to Webster, NE where they made lifelong friends. Soon they moved back to the Cedar Bluffs area, moving to their forever home in 1958. They had three children, Dan (Anne) Kubr of Roca, NE, Teri (Jim) Weitzenkamp of Hooper, NE, Rod (Diana) Kubr Wahoo, NE.
 
He is survived by his wife, children, 8 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren, Casey(Brett) Meyer, Sydney, Logan and Blake, Erin(Kurt)Beran, Tatiana, Nadia, Lydia, Annika, Cody(Aubrey) Weitzenkamp Ella, Dani, William, Myra, Weston, Molly(Derek) Broekemeier,Addie, Maycie, Chloe, Abby Weitzenkamp, Robert(Mindy) Kerwin, Ashton, Addison, Ben Kubr, Breckon, Waylon, Cari(Scott) Pulverenti, Graham. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Kubr, and many nieces and nephews.
 
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Helen Kubr, Father and mother-in-law JF and Anna Sukstorf, brother and sister-in-law Don (Jean)Kubr, sister and brother-in-law Pearl (Dean) Settles, sisters-in-law Alice Marie Kubr and Marge Kubr. He was also preceeded in death by Ioma’s siblings and their spouses, Arnold (Dorothy) Sukstorf, Ilva (Allard) Hartford, Edgar(Anna Mae) Sukstorf, Lloyd (Ioma) Sukstorf, Clarence (Ruth) Sukstorf, Ileen (Leroy) Hajek, and Helen Sukstorf as well as nephews Ron Sukstorf, Joel Sukstorf, Randy Sukstorf, Ross Settles and nieces Carol (Kenneth) Schoch, and Connie Wall and also several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs, NE. The Rev. Mark Weber will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs. Burial will take place at Fleming Cemetery near Cedar Bluffs, NE.
 
Memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the Senior Diner at Cedar Bluffs.
