Randall Hansen Marymee

It is with sorrow we announce the passing of Randall (Randy) Hansen Marymee of Scribner, on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the age of 76 years.
Randy was born to Randall and Merle Hansen in 1945. He graduated from Omaha North High School in 1963. While attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha he met Karen Points, and they married in 1970. Together they raised three children, Katie, Sarah, and Randy. Randy taught biology and vocational agriculture, and later served as a high school principal and school superintendent.
From an early age, Randy was passionate about horses. Randy spent hours with his kids, riding horses and hauling the trailer to 4-H horse shows and high school rodeos. Once his kids were grown, Randy was able to pursue roping himself.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Randall Hansen and Merle Marymee, and his sister, Janet Ashton.
Randy will be missed by his wife of 51 years, Karen, and his children, Katie (Craig) Wells of Malvern, Iowa, Sarah Marymee (Matthew Petersen) of Blair and Randy (T.K.) Marymee of West Point; eight grandchildren; brothers Mike (Fran) Marymee of Lincoln and Patrick (Nancy) Marymee of Houston and sister Joyce (Von) Ackerman of Denver.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Persia, Iowa.
Memorials in Randy’s name may be given to the American Cancer Society.
