Authorities have identified the man who died as the result of a pickup and semitrailer truck collision north of Fremont on Wednesday afternoon.
Harold Mueksch, 93, of Fremont was pronounced dead shortly after the crash that occurred at about 4:10 p.m.
Cody Thomas of the Nebraska State Patrol said Mueksch was heading west on east Cathy Street while the semi was heading north on U.S. Highway 77.
The driver of the semi was not injured. The crash remains under investigation by the state patrol.
