Three Rivers: Covid-19 numbers down in past 2 weeks

The Three Rivers Public Health District reported 156 cases of COVID-19 in the past seven days and 327 cases in the past 14 days which is a decrease from the previous weeks.

The district has reported 11,422 cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Terra Uhing, executive director of Three Rivers, encourages residents in the three-county jurisdiction of Dodge, Saunders and Washington to get their flu shots.

“As a reminder, we are now into flu season,” Uhing said. “Please get your flu shot if you are able. That is one more way to try to keep people as healthy as possible.”

Flu vaccinations are available at hospitals, pharmacies, private medical offices, federally qualified health care centers and some local health departments. COVID-19 vaccines may now be administered at the same time as other vaccines, including the flu vaccine, for those who need both.

Sadly, officials announced two new COVID-19-related deaths. That brings the total oronavirus-related deaths in the health district to 146.
