Orlando (Landy) Mueller was born on October 26, 1928 to Herbert and Lena Mueller.
Landy lived on the farm with his parents and 3 brothers milking cows and farming east of Winslow. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School for 8 years where he either walked to school or rode his black pony named Glory. Sometimes Glory would shy and off Landy would fall! He would then pick up his jam sandwich, throw it back in his syrup pail and ride on to school! After that he attended Hooper High School.
In 1950 Landy was drafted into the army and was to serve in the Korean War but before Landy left he met Lois Legband, 6 months later Landy and Lois got married in Snyder at Saint Peters Lutheran Church on February 4, 1951.  They were married 69 years! Landy left for the service on March 15, 1951. Basic training was at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri and was sent to Korea where he joined up with the 72nd Tank Battalion. Landy was a company clerk where he kept company records, was the mail clerk and set up Sunday church services when in a reserve area. Landy could talk about his time served and remember details like it happened yesterday. Landy’s tour of duty was finished on December 24, 1952. He was proud to have served.
Landy and Lois made their home on Landy’s home place east of Winslow. Together they milked cows and farmed. There they raised their 3 sons and 2 daughters. Landy and Lois were the sweetest couple, never heard a harsh word from either of them.
Landy sang with the Pathfinders, had held offices in the Dairy Organizations, was a member of LLL, past elder and financial secretary at Immanuel Lutheran Church, school board member and sang in the church choir.
Landy went home to heaven on August 24, 2021 at the age of 92 years and 10 months. Landy was reunited with the love of his life Lois who passed away 16 months earlier. He also joined his parents: Herb and Lena Mueller, brothers and sisters-in-laws: Wilbert and Gretchen Mueller, Allen and Lorene Mueller, Willis and Verda Mueller, sister-in-law Virgene and Kenneth Schuette, and a grandson Jason Mueller.
Landy is survived by his children: Lowell and Lois Mueller, Dennis and Linda Mueller, Larry and Leigh Mueller, Marcia and Keith Johnson, and Vickie and Greg Gilligan. 13 grandchildren: Reed Mueller, Kelly and Matt Baker, Paige and Scott Leising, Brooke Mueller, Jared and Mary Mueller, Jordan and Anne Mueller, Carrie and Brad Dahl, Laura and Brandon Moore, Nathan and Ashley Mueller, Philip and Kate Mueller, Jeremy Johnson, Mandy Johnson, Brad and Kevin Knight, and his 25 great grandkids!
