Teryl “Terry” Lynn Bokowski, age 75 of Fremont passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Shalimar Gardens. He was born July 22, 1946 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Donald and Elmae (Petersen) Bokowski.
Terry was a 1964 graduate of Fremont Senior High School. He served in the US Army and Army Reserves from 1965 to 1967 during Vietnam. Terry married Norma Jean Goracke on August 2, 1968 at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. He worked with Norma at Lu-Jean Ceramics in Fremont for 50 years. Terry also worked at Fremont Area Medical Center, Greens Florist, Hydro Conduit and Phelps Tobacco and Candy.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean; sons, Corey (Val) Bokowski of Gretna, NE and Chad (Meghan) Bokowski of Cape Coral, Florida; brother, Del (Elaine) Bokowski of Lincoln, NE and 5 grandchildren, Emily (Brandon) Broschat, Brooke (Chase) Ziebell, Christian Bokowski, Alec Bokowski and Erin Bokowski.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Elmer Springer and an infant step-sister.
Funeral will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 28, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-6 P.M., at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Military flag presentation will follow the funeral at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes association or to the Crohns & Colitis Foundation.
