Joe Kotik, Jr. 81 of Scribner, Nebraska passed away Monday, August 17, 2021 at the Parkview Home at Dodge, NE.  Joe was born May 17, 1940 in Beemer, NE to Joe and Trevia (Temple) Kotik, Sr.
Joe grew up in Fremont, and worked at Dehy’s in Fremont and Uehling, NE as a mill operator.  He later lived in Nickerson, NE and Scribner, NE.  He married Betty (Woods) June 1, 1965.  She died December 10, 1988.  Joe served in the US Marines from January 15, 1959 to April 22, 1963 during Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, David (Teresa-Acker) Kotik of Scribner; daughters, Terri Kotik of Newton, Iowa, Tricia (Steve) Henrichson of St. Joseph, Missouri and Doreen (Bronner) Bennett- Allen of Jacksonville, North Carolina; brothers, Jerry (Jane) Kotik and John (Bev) Kotik of Fremont; sisters, Anne McKlem of Fremont, Mary (Jim) Gable of Mitchell, NE, Cleo Sampson on Fremont and Nola Mork of Williston, North Dakota; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claud and Anna; parents; wife Betty; special friend, Mary Schulzkump; daughter, JoLynn Arthur; sisters, Eleanor Friedrich and Barbara Jacobs; brother, Larry Kotik; and brothers-in-law, Chuck Mork and Richard Sampson.
Memorial Service will be 9:30 A.M., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.  Military honors and burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
