Prague woman, 29, dies following traffic accident

A 29-year-old Prague woman died as the result of a traffic accident on Sunday afternoon.
At about 4:20 p.m., the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover accident about 1 3/4 miles north of Highway 92 on County Road 24, just northwest of Weston.
Assisting on the call were Weston Fire, Malmo Fire and Wahoo Fire/Rescue.
The sheriff’s office said the preliminary investigation shows the a black GMC Envoy was traveling north on County Road 24 between County Roads L and M when the vehicle lost control and exited the roadway into the west ditch.
The vehicle then overturned and collided with a tree, pinning the driver, who was identified as Katie M. Weakly. Weakly, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor and the investigation is ongoing.
