Antique car club plans fundraising activity

The Fremont Antique Car Club isn’t lacking the drive to help charitable causes.

The club will host its 2021 Charity Cruise on Sunday. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Rosenbauer Aerials, 870 S. Broad St., in Fremont. The cruise is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

There is no registration fee, but the cost is $10 per ticket. The tickets will be drawn for various prizes.

All event proceeds will benefit the Disabled American Veterans Joseph C.H. Bales Chapter 18 in Fremont and the Fremont Area Veterans Coalition. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the coalition has donated more than 200 shadow boxes to area veterans to display military awards, medals and mementos.

The 75-mile cruise will include stops at the Dew Drop Inn in Kennard, the Blair Country Club and the One Horse Saloon in Nickerson. The final stop will be the Wooden Windmill in Fremont.

For more information about the event, call 402-719-5594.
