Police probe property damage accident, bike theft

The Fremont Police Department is investigating an accident involving a minor on Thursday night.
At about 6 p.m.,  a 17-year-old female was cited on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and no operator’s license following a property damage accident at a residence in the 1500 block of east 6th St.
 
The female was driving a  2008 Chrysler 300 southbound on Lincoln Avenue.  She attempted to turn west onto Sixth Street but ran off the roadway and struck a home on the corner of Sixth Street and Lincoln Avenue. She then left the scene in her car and was later located and cited. 
 
Damage to the Chrysler is estimated at $8,000. while damage to the residence is estimated at $5,000.
 
At about 2 p.m. Thursday, a theft was reported at a residence in the 600 block of North I Street. 
 
Reported stolen was a gray and green-colored men’s 26-inch bicycle. The brand is unknown. The bike is valued at $400.
